Thrown into a land on the brink of revolution, twelve-year-old Madely must use her gift of alchemy to battle an out-of-control Queen whose moods create the weather so she can find her missing mother before the storms destroy all hope. Journeying with a raven-winged sheriff and a feisty teenage alchemist, Madely takes every opportunity to search for Mom while pressure mounts for her to use her weather alchemy to overthrow the monarchy. As the Queendom splinters, her devotion to the revolution and her found family might mean that she’ll have to abandon the chance to save her mom.
